Oh! Yesss! There's a thing a can say about Soglow after all: Otto Soglow (with Ernie Bushmiller) is the most influential artist on my work. Hopefully you'll can appreciate it much better if I get to finish my first graphic fiction someday. Oh Lord!! Help me to!!
Enjoy!

What an interesting stylist! I can see the influence on your fine work. Another Bushmiller fan! Bravo! -- Mykal
Hey!
Thanx, Mykal!
Buenisimo el post! Me encanta el cazador de pieles.
Muchas gracias!
Esa tira que mencionas es de finales de los 20. No ha pasada tiempo ni nada y aún resulta divertida!
Soglow was a genius.
Anxiously awaiting your finished work!
Absolutely, Jeff!
I'm on it whenever I can.
Welcomed aboard, by the way!!
Que pequeño era El Reyecito pero que grande fue El Rey! Soglow sigue siendo El Rey.
Gracias por mostrar todo este excelente material!
Un saludo
Eso mismo pienso yo.
Gracias por tu comentario, Miguel!
I'm with you. Soglow was terrific.
I've dug through many a stack of old cartoon books looking for his work. Now and then... Jackpot. The simplicity of his style is always a revelation.
By the way, thanks for the kind post about Frank's circumstances. I know for a fact that he was very touched.
Making a living as a freelance creator is no easy accomplishment. Despite what the public may imagine, getting a book published is not like winning the lottery. That advance disappears very quickly into rent and food.
Frank is one of the most talented people I've ever met. Anybody would be very lucky to get his services.
Anyway, thanks for your many great posts!
Absolutely, Jim. To be a freelance means living in a perpetual distress, forced to live on tenterhooks, always looking for clients and getting enough money to enable you to pay the invoices. I mean, it's not the same that to have a monthly salary.
On the other hand, we're working on something we kind of like. Something we love and do to contribute in the medium, hardly to get a lot of money.
I've got a friend cartoonist who sells a number of books really substantial bearing in mind the country where we're living, but his standard of life is just slightly superior to mine. People think, though, he's in on the fat of the land.
I deeply hope Frank's state get better very soon. He's a man I really admire. He's not just bright and able-minded, but -I'm quite sure- the kindest guy. There's no need to thank. Internet is useful for this kind of things indeed.
Regarding Soglow, I love his work for the same reasons. I've got some books illustrated by him I'd like to post in the future. I have some other stuff lined up first, though: a little king story by Stanley and a Tippy Teen one by Samm Schwartz among others...
My thanks to you for your comments, mista!
You're really welcomed ever.
